Description Are you a seasoned accountant looking for an opportunity to work in the food and beverage industry? A rapidly growing food and beverage company in San Diego, CA, is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to help lead their financial operations. This is a unique chance to join a dynamic company and take ownership of accounting processes that support their expansion into new markets. Key Responsibilities: + Prepare and manage monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements in compliance with GAAP. + Handle reconciliation of complex accounts including inventory and accruals specific to the food and beverage industry. + Oversee payroll processing and ensure proper allocation of costs across multiple departments. + Play a key role in the budgeting and forecasting processes, working closely with department heads. + Assist in audits by preparing documentation and ensuring the accuracy of financial data. + Identify inefficiencies in accounting processes and propose solutions to improve accuracy and productivity. Requirements + 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a focus on the food and beverage industry. + Strong knowledge of GAAP and cost accounting principles. + Proficiency in accounting software such as Intuit QuickBooks or NetSuite. + Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, macros, and financial modeling. + Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities. + CPA or CMA designation preferred but not required.
