ADI Global Distribution now have an opportunity for a Senior Accountant to join our EMEA controllership team for the Snap One Segment. This is a hybrid role, working 3 days from our office Belgrade, Serbia and 2 days from home.
Whilst based in Serbia, the Senior Accountant role will primarily oversee the UK Snap One business ensuring compliance with US and Local GAAP along with other local statutory and legislative requirements. The Senior Accountant will also support the Serbian controllership team when required.
Reporting to the ADI International Controller, the Senior Accountant serves as a key partner to the regional business, tax, and treasury teams, as well as external auditors.
JOB DUTIES:
Support with the preparation and submission of statutory financial statements for all reporting units and legal entities Act as the key point of contact for statutory audits Review/approve complex, high-risk balance sheet account reconciliations Prepare Manual Journal entries and reconciliations for key local compliance accounts. Support the payroll, VAT, and tax teams in resolving issues Participate in monthly operating reviews with to ensure a thorough understanding of P&L and balance sheet activities, as well as identify risks and opportunities Support Corporate Tax in tax-led strategic initiatives and projects, and act as a key point of contact for tax audits and local compliance matters Assist with UK tax filings and reconciliations Prepare any necessary local Government compliance and statistical reporting, such as environmental or trade-related reporting Preparation of monthly management accounting Business partner with various functions in the business Support the Serbia Senior Accountant on projects and in times of leave Perform ad-hoc miscellaneous duties as assigned
YOU MUST HAVE:
Demonstrated track record of managing the monthly accounting cycle and ensuring compliance with local statutory reporting, US GAAP or IFRS requirements, and robust internal controls Professional Excel and ERP Skills (preferably SAP Business One) Relevant professional accounting qualification Fluent in English
