Job Title: Senior Accountant – Family Office Services
Location: San Francisco, CA | Hybrid
Compensation: $90,000 – $120,000 + Bonus

With a long-standing reputation for discretion, technical excellence, and white-glove service, the firm supports its clients across a wide range of financial matters—from investment oversight and cash flow planning to entity management and complex reporting.

As a Senior Accountant, you will play a vital role in managing day-to-day financial activities for a group of client families. This includes preparing financial statements, overseeing multi-entity reporting, and supporting a broad range of operational needs such as bill pay, reconciliation, and intercompany activity. You’ll collaborate with both internal teams and external advisors to ensure the financial lives of clients are running smoothly and accurately.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting
+ Record journal entries and manage entity-level ledgers for trusts, LLCs, and personal accounts
+ Support month-end and quarter-end closes, including reconciliations and reporting deliverables
+ Prepare and maintain accurate cash flow reports and quarterly financial statements
+ Anticipate and monitor liquidity needs across a variety of client accounts
+ Reconcile bank, investment, and credit card accounts with attention to detail and timeliness
+ Validate and track private investments, real estate holdings, and other non-liquid assets
Client Interaction & Collaboration
+ Serve as a key liaison between clients, estate staff, vendors, and other third-party advisors
+ Partner with internal teams (Client Services, Tax, and Finance) to streamline reporting and coordinate multi-disciplinary projects
+ Provide responsive support on ad hoc requests and help ensure financial documentation is always up to date and client-ready
+ Assist in process optimization efforts and contribute to tech-forward improvements in accounting systems and workflows
Requirements
+ Previous experience managing accounting for trusts, LLCs, or high-net-worth individuals
+ Strong command of GAAP and familiarity with financial reporting practices across multiple entities
+ Proficient in accounting systems—experience with Sage Intacct, QuickBooks, and Bill.com is highly desirable
+ Comfortable adopting new tools and identifying opportunities to enhance workflows with technology
+ Strong sense of ownership, time management, and ability to juggle multiple priorities
+ High attention to detail, excellent follow-through, and an innate focus on quality
+ Professional, service-oriented communicator who thrives in a client-facing role
