Job Summary
Assist with the preparation of periodic reports filed with the SEC (10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, etc.) and related supporting analysis. Perform peer research and create both detailed and executive level analysis based on research performed. Assist in the research and documentation of SEC disclosure requirements and technical accounting pronouncements as they arise. Develop and leverage relationships with other departments within the company and contribute to a positive teamwork environment. Core Responsibilities
Support with the accurate and timely preparation and filing of periodic reports with the SEC (such as Forms 10-Q, 10-K and 8-K)Prepare supporting documentation and analysis related to certain sections of our SEC filings (such as Management’s Discussion and Analysis and Business Description)Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual disclosure checklists to validate completeness and accuracy of required disclosuresConduct peer company benchmarking and create both detailed and executive level analyses based on research performedAssist with preparation and review of materials for quarterly earnings releasesAssist in the preparation of materials related to external auditor independence and fees for reporting to the Audit CommitteeCommunicate and coordinate with other groups within Corporate Accounting & Reporting, Divisions and other Corporate functions in connection with the planning for and preparation of periodic reportsCommunicate with and coordinate requests for internal and external auditorsAssist with the coordination and review of third-party service provider in eXtensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL) format in SEC filingsAssist with research and implementation of new accounting standards and regulation changes specific to Form 10-K/Q reportingIdentify and drive opportunities for process improvements and automationConsistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.Education/Experience and Required Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or FinanceCPA preferred5 to 7 years of relevant accounting experience (e.g., public accounting and/or larger public companies)Knowledge of SEC guidance and U.S. GAAPStrong communication, organizational and analytical skills with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
