Job Description
The Senior Accountant, Benefits and Payroll will work on many different aspects of Invenergy’s business with a primary focus on all accounting activities related to benefits, payroll (domestic and foreign), 401k plan, profit sharing, bonus plans, and venture funds. Additional responsibilities will be assisting in achieving system and process improvements to bring automation and efficiency to all accounting activities. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Accounting, this position will help to support several different initiatives but primarily accounting, billing, payment and management of our employee and employer paid benefits. Individual must be capable of handling sensitive information and maintaining confidentiality. Must also be a self-starter, well organized, possess excellent computer skills, and enjoy the challenge of taking on new and exciting opportunities. An accounting background is required with preferred experience in payroll and benefits.
Responsibilities
Employee benefit accounting, including monthly expense accruals, daily and weekly cash posting and monthly account reconciliations, and ensuring accuracy of all general ledger information.Assist with Workday enhancements related to payroll, time and attendance and payroll cost allocations.Liaison regularly with Payroll and other Invenergy colleagues and third-party benefits providers.Take ownership of issues that arise, and follow through to resolution.Reconcile all payroll and benefit general ledger accounts in Oracle.Required Skills
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Accounting, Finance or related field.4+ years of accounting experience.Understanding and knowledge of GAAP.Strong familiarity with Excel, preferably including general understanding of pivot tables, and other Microsoft Office products.Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.Preferred

90,000.00 - 117,000.00 USD Annual
Bonus: 20% - 30%
