**Meaningful Work from Day One**
The successful candidate will undertake dual responsibilities, encompassing the performance of accounting functions for B-F South Korea and the provision of comprehensive accounting support across the APAC region through the consolidation of accounting functions. A core expectation of this role is the proactive identification and implementation of efficiency improvements via the streamlining and automation of accounting tasks, achieved through close collaboration with a team of capable and experienced locally based Accounting Managers.
**What You Can Expect**
+ Support financial accounting, reporting, and analysis activities for B-F Korea, including participation in monthly, quarterly, and annual year-end accounting and closing processes.
+ Support broader APAC accounting operations by consolidating and streamlining accounting processes across the region.
+ Drive improvements in accounting process efficiency and effectiveness throughout Asia Pacific.
**B-F Korea (40%)**
+ Collaborate with the Accounting Manager to ensure that financial statements for B-F Korea are accurate and compliant with both US GAAP and local statutory reporting requirements.
+ Complete various month-end related tasks, including booking journal entries to record accruals, provisions, fixed assets depreciation, intercompany transactions etc.
+ Complete general ledger reconciliations in Blackline, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
+ Provide explanations for any unusual movements in general ledger accounts.
+ Review and process weekly payment proposals
+ Partner with key stakeholders to ensure that tight deadlines are met, including month-end closing, financial reporting, year-end audit preparation and financial forecasting activities.
+ Respond to accounting queries from the Finance team and the broader business regarding financial results and special reporting requests.
+ Assist in external or internal audits.
+ Provide support to the Accounting Manager, Korea as needed.
**Asia Pacific (60%)**
+ Perform consolidated accounting tasks for multiple APAC markets, including material ledger close, management of discounts and marketing accruals.
+ Identify and drive accounting process efficiency and effectiveness through digitization initiatives, collaborating with local Accounting Managers and Information Technology teams.
+ Partner with the regional Finance team to provide clarity on financial results and the underlying accounting policies.
+ Partner with the Internal Control and Compliance Manager to ensure adherence to internal control policies and procedures for the region.
+ Provide support to local Accounting Managers and the Regional Controller as needed.
+ Contribute to the future growth and expansion of the regional accounting team.
**What You Bring to the Table**
+ 3-5 years’ experience in an accounting function with similar responsibilities
+ Bachelors or Equivalent; Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
+ CA qualification
+ Experience working with SAP or similar ERP platforms.
+ Strong knowledge of MS office Suite and G Suite (Google Sheets, Docs and Slides)
+ Strong knowledge of accounting principles and concepts
+ Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal).
