Senior Account Executive - Corporate Reputation

Edelman’s Corporate Reputation team is the trusted partner advising C-Suites and Boards on communications and actions. We are business problem-solvers, informed by market insights and focused on driving measurable outcomes. With business value at the forefront, the US Corporate Reputation team creates compelling narratives that capture a company’s vision, culture, and direction. The team advises corporate clients on what to say and do, and works to align a company with its stakeholders, connecting with a variety of audiences through the most effective means – media relations, business-to-business communications, executive positioning, employee engagement, financial communications, or any combination necessary to support business value objectives. We are currently seeking a Senior Account Executive to join our team. If you’re invigorated by challenges, complex subject matter, and thinking creatively on behalf of brands and their executives, then this might be just the role for you. Responsibilities:Contribute to strategic earned media planning and execute against those plans: developing proactive and reactive pitches, conducting planned and proactive outreach daily, creating and nurturing relationships with key members of media, and tracking the media landscape to bring fresh thinking and best practices to client workDevelopment and execution of additional corporate communications strategies meant to enhance client reputation, including thought leadership, executive positioning, and issues identification and managementSupport day-to-day account management and serve as a point of contact for clients, addressing issues thoughtfully and effectivelyThoughtfully counsel clients based on internal and external landscapes, communications and marketing trends, and understanding of clients’ business goalsWrite in multiple voices and produce clear, persuasive content, including messaging, media pitches, event submissions and more to help tell client storiesHelp set the strategy for quarterly or annual communications plans, content strategies, etc.Manage multiple projects from concept to completion by anticipating challenges, troubleshooting problems, proposing solutions, offering client counsel, overseeing quality, and ensuring deadline and budget adherenceDelegate to junior staff and help motivate and coach team members; manage up to senior staff and consistently provide feedback that leads to continuous improvementContribute to business development, including new business and organic growth with existing clientsCoordinate with other specialists (e.g., paid media, design, crisis) as needed to meet client goalsCommit to continuous learning and improvement of leadership skillsBasic Qualifications:At least two years of full-time experience in public relations or strategic communicationsBachelor’s degree in a relevant field (public relations, corporate communications, English, advertising, journalism, business) or equivalent work experiencePreferred Qualifications:Experience working in or around traditional mediaAble to develop communications plans and implement public relations tacticsThe commitment to be immediately responsive to client feedback and incorporate into course corrections where appropriate Positive attitude and desire to work as part of a high-performing, extremely collaborative team Strong organizational, scheduling, and time/project management skills; the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously Proven ability to delegate and accurately judge and edit the work of others  Superior verbal communication skills, as well as demonstrably excellent writing skills $60,000 - $80,000 a year#LI-SL1
An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of DJEH’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, a Paid Time Off policy, and region-specific benefits.
