Marsh is seeking candidates for a Senior Account Executive position in our Corporate Practice. The position is based in our Auckland office, but Wellington or Christchurch could also be considered for the right person.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within our Corporate Team. You will be responsible for the growth, profitability and client satisfaction of a book of business containing large and complex accounts. This includes managing and developing client relationships, acting as the client's trusted advisor, developing new business and expanding and diversifying the mix of Marsh products and services the client holds.

We will count on you to:
Maintain and grow personal relationships and a book of business, and contribute to team sales targets
Conduct and analyse research to maintain a comprehensive understanding of personal accounts and coinciding business needs, as well as core team accounts to maintain a comfortable handle on the portfolio at large
Utilise risk expertise and knowledge of industry and the insurance marketplace to review clients’ exposures and loss experience and develop solutions for client needs
Assist in presentations to prospective clients and develop innovative solutions to help gain new clients and projects
Identify expansion opportunities for personal and team accounts, leveraging your understanding of internal service and product offerings, market trends and developments and the business standing of specific accounts
Attend and participate in industry events and conferences and client functions to build up a strong professional network, maintain proximity to the relevant market and represent the Company and its product offerings and solutions
We would like you to have:
5+ years’ experience within a corporate or commercial insurance environment
Strong business acumen including a well-rounded knowledge of general business function, finance and issues
Good problem-solving skills
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization including the ‘C’ Suite
Ability to prioritise work, multi-task and consistently meet deadlines
Achieve and maintain NZ Certificate in Financial Services (Level 5)
Insurance qualifications (ANZIIF or similar)
Degree preferred
