The role:
As a Senior ASP.NET Developer, you will be a key member of our development team, responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our core web applications and services. This is more than just a coding role; you will be a technical leader, influencing our architecture, mentoring other developers, and driving the adoption of best practices. You will work on complex problems, build scalable and resilient systems, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software that meets the needs of our users.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Develop: Architect, design, and develop robust, scalable, and secure web applications and APIs using C# and the .NET framework (specifically ASP.NET Core). Technical Leadership: Act as a technical subject matter expert, providing guidance on software design, architecture, and implementation. Mentorship: Mentor and guide junior and mid-level developers through code reviews, pair programming, and technical leadership, fostering a culture of growth and quality. Full Software Development Lifecycle: Participate in all phases of the development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance. Collaboration: Work closely with Product Managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions. Code Quality: Champion and enforce coding standards, design patterns, and best practices (e.g., SOLID principles, unit testing). Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues in production and development environments. Innovation: Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, and propose and implement improvements to our technology stack and development processes.
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems or a related field. 10+ years of professional software development experience using the Microsoft stack. Technical Skills: Expert-level proficiency in C#, ASP.NET Core (MVC), .NET Framework and SQL Server. Strong experience building and consuming RESTful APIs (Web API). Solid understanding and hands on experience of database design and development using SQL Server, including writing complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning. Proficiency with front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and a strong understanding of at least one modern JavaScript framework (e.g., React,). Deep knowledge of software engineering principles, including SOLID, design patterns, and clean architecture. Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical, conceptual thinking, and problem-solving abilities skills and the ability to work independently and in a team environment. Excellent communication (written, verbal, and presentation) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in a relevant field. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices with Azure DevOps. Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment. Familiarity with AWS and service-oriented architecture (SOA). Experience in the TIC sector.
