Job Title: SEND Team Manager
Location: Lancashire (Hybrid – 2-3 days on-site, remainder remote)
Rate: £400 - £475 per day (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Interim / Locum
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 3–6 months (with potential extension)
Are you a skilled leader with a passion for Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? We are looking for an experienced SEND Team Manager to join a dedicated local authority in Lancashire on a hybrid basis.
Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage a team of SEND Officers and Caseworkers to deliver high-quality EHCP assessments, reviews, and placements.Ensure compliance with statutory duties under the SEND Code of Practice.Drive performance and service improvements, maintaining a child-centred and outcome-focused approach.Work collaboratively with schools, parents/carers, social care, and health professionals.Manage complex casework, including tribunals, mediation, and complaints.Provide regular supervision, coaching, and support to team members.Requirements:Proven experience managing a SEND or EHCP service within a local authority.In-depth knowledge of SEND legislation, including the Children and Families Act 2014 and SEND Code of Practice.Strong leadership and communication skills.Ability to analyse data and drive service improvements.Experience of managing staff performance and workflow.Why Join?Flexible hybrid working patternOpportunity to make a significant impact on outcomes for children and young peopleSupportive working environmentCompetitive day rateTo apply, please submit your CV and a short cover note outlining your relevant experience.
