Are you passionate about supporting young people with Special Educational Needs?
Do you have experience working with secondary-aged students in a school or care setting?
We're working with a number of inclusive and supportive secondary school in Warwick who are looking for dedicated and empathetic SEN Teaching Assistants to join their teams for the new academic year.
About the Role:
You will be supporting students aged 11-16 with a range of special educational needs, including:
- Autism (ASC)
- ADHD
- Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
- Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
Duties may include:
- 1:1 and small group support in and outside of the classroom
- Assisting teachers with tailored lesson delivery
- Promoting positive behaviour and emotional well-being
- Helping students access learning and develop key skills
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN
- Calm, caring and adaptable approach
- Strong communication and behaviour management skills
- Teaching Assistant qualifications (e.g. CACHE, Level 2/3) are a bonus but not essential
Must have or be willing to apply for an enhanced DBS. The DBS must also be on the update service
