Posting Details Position Details Posting Number N01161 Classification Title Laborer Working Title Semi-Skilled Laborer | Athletic Equipment Room N01161 Employee Group Staff Bargaining Unit AFSCME Location Main Campus Department Athletics Pay Rate $36,108 Employment Type Regular FT Work Schedule 9:00 am – 5:00 pm; Monday – Friday Work evenings and weekends for events as needed. Position Summary Information Position Summary This individual performs a variety of tasks and projects in support of the Athletics Department and Physical and Health Education Department. This individual will provide support in the areas of athletic equipment management, home event management, and activites within athletic venues. Duties include: Assisting in the setup and breakdown of all venues for athletic contests, summer camps, and special events. Provides support in the area of game management for the Athletic Department’s varsity teams which may include supervising multiple student workers. This individual will also assist with Equipment Room Operations. Other duties assigned by the Assistant to the Athletic Director or Athletic Director. Overtime will be mandated/available on an as needed basis. Minimum Qualifications Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions and ability to lift and move heavy objects and to work under adverse weather conditions. A successful campus interview and passing a criminal background check required. Preferred Qualifications Preference will be given to applicants who have general labor work experience, including moving furniture; and experience working with diverse populations.
