OVERVIEW
Condé Nast is seeking a data-driven, highly analytical SEM Manager with hands-on experience managing and optimizing search engine marketing/PPC campaigns across Google, Bing, and Apple Search Ads to drive profitable subscriber acquisition for its subscription and app businesses on Vogue, GQ, Conde Nast Traveler, The New Yorker. Bon Appétit, Wired, Vanity Fair, the Allure Beauty Box, and GQ Box. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of SEM at a subscription publisher, news site, or similar and will be responsible for developing, executing, and scaling paid search strategies that maximize conversions while improving efficiency and lifetime value (LTV). This is a full time position based out of our office in New York City and reports to the Global Senior Manager of SEO.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
3-5+ years of hands-on experience managing SEM/PPC campaigns with a proven track record of driving profitable customer acquisition–applicants may be asked to submit live campaigns that demonstrate their SEM ability and be prepared to discussExpertise in Google Ads, Microsoft Ads (Bing), and Apple Search Ads with a deep understanding of bidding strategies, keyword optimization, ad extensions, and audience targetingStrong analytical skills with experience in budget forecasting, campaign performance tracking, and LTV-based decision-makingExperience with A/B testing frameworks, conversion rate optimization (CRO), and landing page optimization strategiesStrong understanding of the mobile app ecosystemProficiency in Google Tag Manager, Mode, major analytics platforms and MMPs like Branch, martech SEM analytics platforms (we have our own in-house), SEM performance tracking tools, and Google SheetsHighly collaborative and comfortable working cross-functionally with creative, analytics, and product teamsExcellent problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset and the ability to pivot based on performance insightsPassion for subscription-based and e-commerce businesses, with a strong understanding of customer acquisition funnels and retention strategiesThe expected base salary range for this position is from $90,000-$110,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including but not limited to relevant skills, training, experience, and education.
In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates may also be eligible to receive discretionary bonus compensation.
