Pay Rate:$28.00
Hours:Monday-Friday 8:30AM-5:00PM (40hrs)
NO WEEKENDS + Benefit Package.
Job Summary:
The Self Direction Supervisoroversees all aspects of the Self-Direction program, including Fiscal Intermediary (FI) services, ensuring high-quality, person-centered support for individuals with developmental disabilities. This role is responsible for regulatory compliance, staff supervision, program development, and overall service delivery.
The Supervisor ensures operations meet or exceed standards set by Federal, State, and Agency regulations, supporting the empowerment of individuals through informed choice, self-advocacy, and person-centered planning.
Program Oversight and Compliance:
+ Supervise daily operations of the Self-Direction program, including oversight of FI services.
+ Monitor service delivery to ensure compliance with OPWDD Administrative Memorandums (ADMs) and all applicable state and federal regulations.
+ Develop and implement program policies and procedures to maintain effective and compliant operations.
+ Stay informed of industry best practices, trends, and regulatory updates.
+ Monitor and assess program performance; implement corrective actions when needed.
+ Oversee all compliance components, including billing documentation, payment processing, and follow-up on compliance issues.
Fiscal Management:
+ Review and approve FI invoices for reimbursement and payment; submit to finance for processing.
+ Ensure required documentation is completed prior to billing and that all billing requirements are met.
+ Review FI billing and submit to the finance team for processing.
+ Lead development and training for the EVERO billing/service delivery platform.
Staff Supervision and Development:
+ Provide direct supervision to FI Coordinators, including hiring, training, staff development, performance management, and disciplinary action as needed.
+ Promote high standards of service delivery and ensure staff compliance with required trainings and certifications.
+ Act as a role model and support system for team members, promoting collaboration and accountability.
Cross-Departmental and Strategic Collaboration:
+ Serve as liaison between Self-Direction and internal departments (e.g., HR, Finance, Payroll).
+ Partner with the Self-Direction Director to develop and implement strategic goals for quality enhancement and program growth.
+ Meet regularly with the Self-Direction team and leadership to evaluate compliance, service delivery, and overall department progress.
Additional Responsibilities:
+ Fill in as needed for open FI cases, following the FI job description.
+ Assist with managing self-direction intakes and waitlists; ensure proper documentation is collected for service delivery.
+ Maintain a caseload when needed and provide support as a backup for team members.
+ Collaborate with external Self-Direction providers to share resources and promote best practices.
+ Exercise autonomy in decision-making to drive program innovation.
+ Maintain accurate documentation through agency-approved software platforms.
+ Follow all agency procedures related to incident reporting.
Job Requirements:
+ Deep understanding of Self-Direction, Fiscal Intermediary, and Broker services, along with relevant regulations.
+ Proven ability to manage program operations, budgets, and compliance.
+ Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
+ Ability to support individuals respectfully and advocate for informed choice.
+ Self-directed with the ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
+ Strong organizational and planning skills, attention to detail, and customer service orientation.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
+ Maintain all required certifications and complete Self-Direction Broker Institute training.
+ Valid NYS driver’s license in good standing, and access to a reliable, insured vehicle.
+ Physically able to meet the demands of the position.
Minimum Qualifications:
+ Option 1 : Associate’s degree in a related field with 1–3 years of relevant experience, OR
+ Option 2 : High school diploma (or equivalent) with 3–5 years of related experience, including leadership responsibilities.
Note: Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience will be considered. Supervisory and Self-Direction experience preferred
