Segment Manager - HVAC/R Sensors
The Impact You'll Make

Danfoss seeks a Market Segment Manager with strong market and customer understanding to ensure ambitious growth. As a Market Segment Manager, your overall mission will be to develop our sensing solutions business in the global HVAC & refrigeration markets through deep market, application and product insight.

 

You are offered a unique job opportunity in an international environment with the chance to create, develop and positively influence our market and business results. The location of this position is flexible but primarily remote-based on the East Coast of the United States. You can expect to travel approximately 30% of your time. 

What You’ll Be Doing

Your main responsibilities include:

•    Ensure deep customer insight within the segment, including application and product needs as well as a strong understanding of customer issues and buying trends
•    Create and maintain the market and business analysis for sensors in the HVAC & refrigeration market, including internal and external analysis, hotspot and heat maps
•    Develop, implement and coordinate global segment growth strategy by driving the execution of the segment marketing plan.
•    Build and maintain relations with strategic customers and potential external partners.
•    Build market analysis and transfer this into a solid business plan
•    Challenge and develop business models and champion the development of our sensor business in the segment
•    +5 years in product/segment management or business development role with a strong commercial mindset.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering or another relevant technical degree. You have a strong background in sales and/or marketing management of technical products and solid experience from the HVAC & refrigeration market. You are skilled in building up market analysis and transferring this into a solid business plan. While not mandatory, knowledge of sensor products is preferred, and you must demonstrate the capacity to quickly grasp the nature of our products and business models

 

On a more personal level, you are innovative and service-minded, and you have a strong will to succeed. You have a natural authority and ability to act independently on your tasks. You are comfortable with undertaking ongoing projects and initiatives, and your goal-oriented personality ensures that the activities you execute are completed satisfactorily. You possess a personal drive that motivates, inspires, and influences others, and you are able to work across functions in an international environment. With your excellent communication skills and ability to communicate throughout the organisation, you are able to meet people at their level and accommodate differences and diversities. Finally, you possess strong English skills, both in writing and speech.
