**Job Title: Seed Lab Technician** **Job Description** Join our team as a Seed Lab Technician, where you will play a crucial role in our quality assurance process. You will be responsible for rolling various seeds such as corn, soybean, and wheat on paper towels and wax paper, placing them in a germinator, and evaluating the resulting seedlings for viability. Data entry of your findings into a tablet will be required to track and maintain quality metrics. A comprehensive 30-day training program will equip you with all the necessary skills, and perfect attendance is mandatory during this period. **Responsibilities** + Conduct standard germination tests on seeds (corn, wheat, soy, sorghum). + Roll dozens of seeds on a paper towel and wax paper and place them into a germinator. + Evaluate the quality of seedlings (live, dead, abnormal) and enter findings into a tablet. + Maintain accurate data entry and quality metrics. + Collaborate with a team of 30-50 workers in a lab setting. + Participate in training sessions, including 15 hours focused on evaluating seedlings. + Adapt to potential extended hours or shift changes as needed. **Essential Skills** + Data entry proficiency + Standard germination testing knowledge + Attention to detail + Teamwork capabilities **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Ability to work overtime and weekends when necessary + Willingness to lift up to 30 lbs + Detail-oriented with a history of transactional excellence and accuracy + Willingness to perform repetitive motions for extended periods **Why Work Here?** We offer a rewarding work environment with opportunities for performance-based incentives. The work environment is temperature-controlled, combining sitting and standing tasks. The attire is business casual, including a collared shirt, long pants, and closed-toed shoes. The standard shift is from 7 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with the potential for up to 10-hour shifts occasionally. The lab requires full attendance during training and may involve extended hours or shift changes. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract position based out of TIPTON, IN. There is the possibility to be hired on long term, but it can't be guarenteed **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
