Job Description
The Security Technician will be responsible for providing customers with the highest quality installations possible in an efficient and timely manner while ensuring customer satisfaction.
ResponsibilitiesInstall products and equipment on assigned projects and ensure customer satisfaction.Ensure quality completion of projects.Use a variety of hand tools, following blueprints, wiring diagrams, piping schemes, or engineering specifications, to install, program, and diagnose systems.Identify, analyze, and diagnose systems and products at the customer’s location.Document work by completing paperwork on each job and maintaining files.Provide updates to project managers.Provide technical support to customers.Essential Skills3-4 years of experience in related fields.2-year technical degree.Experience in Card Access Systems Installation.Experience with Camera Systems.Installation and troubleshooting experience, including working with schematics, wiring diagrams, and piping systems.Additional Skills & QualificationsAssociate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Valid driver’s license.Final candidates must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and screening investigation, including an offender and motor vehicle check.Work Environment
The work environment involves traveling from home using a company vehicle to customer locations to test, program, and troubleshoot security systems or coming into the office first then going to customer sites. Travel will be relatively local to the greater St. Louis, MO area. The company offers a strong opportunity for growth, with the chance to eventually move into an engineering or project management role. The office environment is like a close-knit family where employees care about each other and participate in social events together. The business is expanding into not only the controls industry but also network services, access floors, and electric vehicles.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
Standard PTO for a new hire is 14 days. As for 401K, the company matches 50% of the employee’s contribution – maximum $2,000 match. So if you contribute $3,000 the company will match $1,500. If you contribute $5,000 the company will match $2,000.
