The Leidos National Security Sector is seeking a Security Specialist to provide comprehensive personnel and physical security support to the 5th Air Force Special Security Office (SSO) at Yokota Air Base, Japan. This role ensures the protection of sensitive information, personnel, and facilities across the Japanese theater, supporting SCI access control, policy development, and compliance oversight. You will process TS//SCI visit access requests, verify clearances, and perform SCI indoctrinations for eligible personnel. You will coordinate with the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency Consolidated Adjudications Services (DCSA CAS) to manage SCI eligibility and address derogatory information discovered during investigations or reporting. This is a critical opportunity to support the Air Force’s strategic mission in the Indo-Pacific region.

Key Responsibilities:

Administer the 5 AF SCI Personnel and Physical Security ProgramsConduct SCI indoctrinations and manage access control for 5 AF SCI personnel and SCIFsMonitor DISS/Scattered Castles for clearance verification and derogatory informationCoordinate escorts and perform regular audits and inspections of SCI facilitiesDevelop and review SCIF documentation (e.g., FFC, TEMPEST, CSP, MSP)Process TS//SCI visit requests and liaise with DCSA CAS for eligibility and adjudicationProvide training and updates to 5 AF subordinate unit SSOs across JapanSupport Program Compliance Review (PCR) inspections and readiness assessments

Basic Qualifications:

Active TS//SCI clearance on day oneAt least 8 years total experience in security.5+ years of DoD security experience in military environmentsAssociate’s Degree or equivalent relative certifications.Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and customer service skillsProficient in Microsoft Office and DoD clearance systems (DISS, Scattered Castles)Knowledge of ICD 704, ICD 705, and DoDM 5105.21 Vols 2 & 3Experience with DIA SCIF authorization processes

Pay Range:Pay Range $80,600.00 - $145,700.00
