Responsibilities You will manage the SWFPAC Security Criteria Deviation Program and the SWFPAC Security Inspection Preparation Program. You will monitor program procedures contained in the SWFPAC Security department publications and directives to ensure they are kept current with command policy and with the requirements of higher authority. You will evaluate command recommendations for new or revised security policies, procedures, and controls in terms of impact on national security priorities. You will provide the focal point and expertise for policies and procedures governing Anti-Terrorism/FP (AT/FP) to include a wide range of physical, information, operational, personnel and industrial security disciplines. You will develop and maintain inspection checklists for applicable Security Inspections. You will determine the need to deviate from security criteria standards and develop justification and mitigations for approval by higher authority. You will review and maintain awareness of existing and newly developed internal SWFPAC directives, assessments, and procedures align to meet prescriptive requirements. You will track inspection deficiencies to ensure required root cause analysis and corrective actions are completed in a timely manner per higher directives. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-02 (GS-11) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Managing and implementing security policies and programs (e.g. Anti-Terrorism Force Protection Plan, Foreign Travel Program) to ensure compliance and support mission protection. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Education Additional Information This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required. Certain incentives (such as Recruitment, Relocation or Student Loan Repayment) may be authorized to eligible selectees. A relocation incentive is generally a single payment intended to offset some of the relocation costs experienced by the selectee. A relocation incentive may be authorized. This position is part of the Navy Nuclear Deterrent Mission. This position is part of the Department of Defense Civilian Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project. The NH-3 broadband level encompasses positions equivalent to GS-12 and GS-13 This announcement uses the Domestic Def Industrial Base Facilities & Major Range/Test Facilities Base in DoD direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to certain positions in the competitive service.
