Security Shift Supervisor Security Shift Supervisor- Full Time/ Rotating Shift Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together Work location: Texas Health HEB: 1600 Hospital Parkway Bedford, TX 76022 Work hours: Full Time (40 Hour) Rotating Shift Department Highlights: + Team based environment + Multiple shifts available to fit your schedule + Uniforms and Duty Gear is provided + Opportunities to advance Here’s What You Need Education + High School Diploma or equivalent required + Associate’s Degree preferred Experience + 2 years security, law enforcement, or military police required And + 2 years healthcare or education security preferred Licenses and Certifications + CSO - Commissioned Security Officer Texas Private Security Level 2 (not required if have Level 3) 14 days required And + ACPI - Advanced Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (maintained annually) 30 days required And + CSO - Commissioned Security Officer Texas Private Security Level 3 (2 attempts permitted). Biannual recertification 120 days required And + DL - Drivers License Class C and must be insurable 120 days required And + TASER Certification Complete Course & Certification (2 attempts permitted). Annual recertification 120 days required What You Will Do Oversees operations on assigned shifts: + Leads security briefings for officers and distributes equipment + Responds to calls for service and disturbances. + Reviews shift paperwork and reports + Participates in the Texas Health Threat Assessment Team for assigned area and monitors for correct utilization. Performs officer duties as needed: + Patrols buildings and ground for unlocked secured areas for after hour entry. + Locks and opens doors according to schedules. + Provides individual and group escorts to and from parking areas + Identifies and removes unauthorized individuals from property + Enforces campus parking policies/cite violations Provides training for officers: + Orientates new employees + Attends assigned meetings and shares information Provides manager with input for: + Employee selection + Progressive discipline + Employee evaluations Additional perks of being a Texas Health Security Shift Supervisor: + Benefits include 401k, PTO, medical, dental, Paid Parental Leave, flex spending, tuition reimbursement, Student Loan Repayment Program as well as several other benefits. + At Texas Health, our people make this a great place to work every day.
