- Manages programs, processes and procedures which ensures the protection of the assets of Maryland Live to include the safety and security of guests and team members. Manage programs and processes to reduce and control loss time injuries.
- Communicate and implement department procedurein accordance with director and internal controls.
- Assist in development and implementation of Security Department training.
- Investigate incidents and/or quests complaints, compiling data for accurate reports to the Gaming Commission and department heads.
- Completes and investigates first report on injury
- Provides input and assists with the preparation of performance reviews of supervisors and officers.
- Other duties as assigned.

The Security Shift Manager is responsible for the overall management of the shift, and personnel which provides security, and a safe environment while ensuring protection of guests, team members and Live! assets.

Must-Haves:
A minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience in security or law enforcement. At least three (3) years of work experience in a casino environment. Four (4) - year degree in a related field or equivalent work experience. You will be exposed to an alcohol and smoking environment and must be able to work in such environment. Must have the ability to secure and maintain licensure as required by Virginia Gaming Control Board or any other applicable regulatory entity as may be required to perform assigned duties, or as required by Live’s operating standards.
Physical Requirements:
Resort is large and requires ability and energy to move about it with a true sense of urgency. Ability to be alert at all times. Dexterity will be required to perform day to day activities and during an emergency. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time. Ability to ascend and descend stairs. Ability to work in extreme temperatures (both hot and cold). Ability to run, stoop, bend and reach outward and above the head. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to ride a bicycle.
