Come help organizations be their best, while you reach new heights with a team that has your back. Role Summary The Splunk Global Security (SGS) organization is seeking a Security Risk Analyst.  This position provides risk owners with the information they need to make informed risk decisions. Risk management is a core function of Splunk’s Security team and this role is responsible for performing technical security risk assessments, writing risk reports, monitoring mitigation plans and assessing residual risk as part of the continuous risk management lifecycle.You will serve as a risk analyst who partners with engineering teams across Splunk to design solutions that will mitigate critical product and business related technical risks. Maintaining positive relationships with technical leaders across Splunk is fundamental to the success of this role.  Meet the Team Our SGS organization is led by Splunk’s Chief Information and Security Officer (CISO). The team's purpose is to deliver a comprehensive set of services, crafted to successfully defend and protect Splunk and its customers. This role would report to the  Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) Team within the SGS organization. Learn more about SGS, meet our leaders, and hear more from our Splunk security experts at splunk.com/careers/splunk-global-security.  Responsibilities Build and facilitate technical risk assessment exercises. Prepare and present risk findings to technical audiences within Splunk. Monitor and report risks on a continual basis. Maintain strong cross company working relationships with individuals and business units. Collaborate across a wide range of team members to support the organization's corresponding objectives and results. Drive and maintain attention to quality and detail. Lead difficult conversations in a professional way and apply judgment to assess criticality and prioritize efforts in alignment with organizational goals.  Must-have Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required Professional certification(s) such as GIAC, CISSP, CRISC, CISM, CISSP, CISA, etc. 3-5+ years of professional experience in security risk management role Experience with security risk management programs  Demonstrable technical knowledge in cloud environments, such as AWS, Azure, and GCP Experience with regulatory compliance, including risk management frameworks (e.g., NIST CSF/RMF, ISO2700x/31000) preferred Proficient with tools such as JIRA, GSuite, Microsoft 365 Suite, Confluence Excellent written and verbal communication skills  Preferred Qualifications Experience with Splunk products is a plus! Ability to thrive in ambiguity and bring structure to complex, unstructured problems.   Why Cisco? #WeAreCisco#WeAreCisco where every individual brings their unique skills and perspectives together to pursue our purpose of powering an inclusive future for all.Our passion is connection-we celebrate our employees' diverse set of backgrounds and focus on unlocking potential.
