Allied Universal® is hiring a Security Operations Specialist. The Security Operations Specialist serves represents the on-site point of contact for the Incident Reporting Center (IRC), the Client’s security operations center, who will report/escalate any incidents to the IRC and conduct follow-ups as directed. This role will be instrumental in maintaining the integrity of the Client’s security protocols and fostering a culture of safety within their organization.
Full Time hours Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm
Weekly Pay Starting Rate $33.40 / hour with Paid Orientation
Applicant must have 1+ year Law Enforcement experience OR 2+ years Security Supervisor/Manager experience OR 3+ years Security experience
Ideal applicant has 3-5 years of experience and is comfortable using computer or tablet and has customer service experience
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Incident Management and Response
Act as the on-site point of contact for the Incident Reporting Center, the Client’s security operations center, managing incident investigations and follow-upsProvide crucial support during major events and incidents specific to the Client’s office in PortlandAssist with high-risk terminations occurring on-site, ensuring smooth and secure processesContribute to the development and maintenance of comprehensive incident response plans for various scenariosAssist with post-incident analyses and detailed reports with recommendations for improvementsCoordinate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessaryCollect information and report critical information concerning on site incidents.Event Security and Intelligence
Support the Enhanced Personnel Protection team with local event securityConduct thorough news and social media scans for event-specific intelligenceContribute to event security planning and risk assessmentsAssist in data collection for daily intelligence reportsLiaise with external security agencies and vendors for large-scale eventsAssist with real-time threat assessments during ongoing eventsPhysical Security and Technology
Troubleshoot and maintain physical security technology equipment at the buildingConduct regular security equipment testing in coordination with the Incident Reporting CentreSupport the Physical Security Risk Assessment processWork with Corporate Real Estate partners to address security-related product issuesConduct regular audits of security equipment to ensure optimal functionalityOn-Site Safety and Support
Participate in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) walkthroughs and investigationsAssist with emergency response procedures and drillsProvide escort services for employees and executives as neededLiaise with the landlord and their security team to ensure seamless security operationsHelp to maintain evacuation plans and procedures specific to the buildingCoordinate with Corporate Real Estate partners on safety-related building maintenance issuesProactive Security Measures
Maintain constant site awareness and familiarity to identify potential gaps or issuesConduct regular security audits and propose improvements, and assist with the development and implementation of preventive security measuresStay updated on latest security trends and best practicesParticipate in industry networking events to stay informed on emerging threatsQUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):
High school diploma or equivalentLicensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employmentMinimum of five (5) years of experience in corporate security or law enforcementAbility to communicate at an executive level, both written and orally, through superior communication skillsAbility to make decisions, multi-task, and operate within high stress situations, often under time constraintsWorking knowledge of current global events and global geography/culturesAbility to analyze and think critically, sometimes under ambiguous circumstancesSolid computer knowledge and skills, experience working with complex platformsSelf-motivated, highly responsive and proactive, able to own tasks from start to finishAttention to detail with a strategic mindset, capable of anticipating potential security threats and implementing effective countermeasuresPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):
Ability to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitorsBachelor’s Degree or higher in Emergency Management, Business, Economics, Communications, Information Technology, Political Sciences, Engineering, Geography or related fieldIntelligence, corporate, military and/or security experienceSecondary education in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or related fieldProfessional certifications such as CPP (Certified Protection Professional) or PSP (Physical Security Professional)Experience with risk assessment methodologies and security auditing processesBENEFITS:
