YOU ARE:  And will continue to work under the direction of the Manager, Workplace Security, the Workplace Security Specialist assists and protects employees and physical assets of Progressive Leasing and serves as first contact for guests and employees in the company’s office.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY:  

Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or by vehicleWatch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazardsSound alarms or call police and/or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized individualsInvestigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activitiesExcels in “Security officer” duties and is fully knowledgeable in workplace security Policies and ProceduresHelps lead team meetingSpecializes in Security systems or areas i.e., Medical Response, Security Training, Security Systems or Emergency Response TrainingAssist customers, employees and visitors in a courteous and professional mannerPermit authorized persons to enter property and monitors entrances and exitsObserve departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure that authorized removal of property is conducted within company policyTrains new Prog security officers (between 8-16 hours) and verifies all training is completed according to the training checklistLeads investigations of security incidentsCompletes weekly security audits i.e. Monthly termination audit and monthly temp badge audits.Conduct New Employee Orientation Security trainingConducts “Continuing Security Education” (i.e. CPR First Aid, Access Control, Camera Monitoring, Emergency response)Helps conduct training for Prog employees (i.e. Evacuation training, Emergency Response)Leads new hire security onboarding process i.e. uploads badge profiles, pictures, assigns clearance and prints badges. Inventory and orders frond desk supplies Updates companywide profile picturesPrimary backup for Mail Center.  Duties include sorting all incoming mail and packages. Processing outgoing mail and packages. Other duties as required

  

YOU’LL BRING:  

3+ years of experience in a security roleHigh school diploma/GED requiredSecurity related certification preferred At least 21 years of age Physical ability to climb stairs, ramps or ladders  Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time Demonstrated ability assessing, evaluating and identifying critical issues or situations quickly and responding effectively or escalate accordingly Excellent customer-oriented attitude Effective oral and written communication skills Strong attention to detail Basic computer skills, including Word, Excel, SharePoint, Outlook, etc.
