Job Vacancy – Security Officers (DS SIA Licence)

Location - London Transport Museum

Position: 1 x Security Officers (Door Supervisor SIA Licence Required)
Contract: Average 29.75 hours per week
Shift Pattern: 1 day on  1 day off (days only) (including weekends and Bank Holidays)
Shift Times: 09:45 – 18:15 (overtime available)
Hourly Rate: £13.85 per hour (paid breaks)

Role Overview

As a Security Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, security, and customer service standards of our site. You will work closely with the on-site supervisor and management team to carry out all duties to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver excellent customer service at all times

Complete all assigned duties as per instructions from supervisors and management

Report and act on any security breaches to line managers and the 24-hour control room

Assist with any security, safety, or criminal investigations

Log all incidents in the reporting system accurately and promptly

Conduct internal and external patrols of buildings and car parks

Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and regulatory standards

Follow all site-specific Assignment Instructions (AIs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Risk Assessments (RAs), memos, and toolbox talks

Wear and maintain a valid SIA licence while on duty

Operate CCTV equipment where required (CCTV PSS SIA Licence needed)

Attend training courses as directed

Comply with all legal, health, and safety requirements of the role

Physically fit to carry out manual handling tasks, long foot patrols, and work on stairs

Basic IT skills (Word and Excel)

Requirements

Essential:

Previous security experience

Valid Door Supervisor SIA Licence

CCTV PSS SIA Licence (or willingness to obtain)

Desirable:

Experience working in a busy reception environment

Experience within a museum or cultural venue
