Compensation: Compensation is dependent on experience and ranges from $93,000-$99,000/annually.

General Summary:

This position is responsible for planning, coordinating and managing all aspects of security functions and staff to assure protection of employees, clients, patrons, and property. Directs the provision of guest services level of care to employees, clients, and patrons. 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop and implement operational procedures for the security and surveillance of Center property, including the Emergency Response Plan, and train staff throughout the building at different levels of those plans.

Train, schedule, and supervise Security staff. Training should include all shifts, new hires, refresher courses, and ongoing sessions, with specialized instruction for base coordinators, access control, floor agents, floor supervisors, and surveillance personnel.

Generate monthly schedules, process weekly payroll and track attendance

Ensure completion of weekly departmental duty (POD) sheets.

Ensure facility compliance with safety and emergency policies and procedures. This includes facilitating tabletop exercises with in-house staff, various departments, and key emergency response teams at the city, state, and national levels as needed.

Review and analyze event requirements and develop appropriate in-house security plans.

Serve as point of review and recommendation for client-contracted event security programs and staffing.

Coordinate services on-site of fire detail and off-duty police officers.

Prepare and track purchase orders for department expenditures and maintain data for tracking of resource expenditures.

Provide on-site investigations and provide reports of incidents occurring on property.

Provide assistance and resolution to customers, clients, and vendor requests, whether onsite or offsite.

Supervise security camera and recording systems.

Submit operating budgets and track to compliance with operating goals.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or GED, required

B.A. in Criminal Justice or related field preferred.

Three or more years security experience in a large facility, required

Three or more years supervisory experience, required

Skills and Abilities:

Absence of felony or violent crime convictions.

Exceptional leadership, organizational, planning, customer service and inter-personal skills.

Demonstrated computer literacy in word-processing, spread sheet programs and PC applications, Office and other security programs.

Demonstrated job history of integrity and reliability.

Clear and concise oral and written communication skills.

Excellent problem solving and organizational skills.

Work effectively with diverse groups of people among all levels within an organization; skill to work effectively as part of a team.

Perform leadership role and job tasks effectively despite sudden deadlines and changing priorities.

Ability to speak, understand, and read standard English

Computer Skills:

Basic computer skills

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:

Possession of a valid Class C Colorado Driver's License required

Possession of a valid City and County of Denver Security Guard License required
