Strategic Roles and Responsibilities

Understand Adani’s overall strategy and plan for Material Management system and provides inputs for strategy formulation, with the aim of supporting functional goals Establish and implement a comprehensive Material Management strategy aligned with the group’s long-term vision and operational goals across all the Adani businesses. Evaluate and integrate Material Management security operations & weighbridges including Gate Security operations. Drive periodic reviews with PSH to assess the alignment of fire measures with organizational priorities.

      Risk Management and Mitigation

Develop and operationalize a risk assessment framework for identifying, evaluating, and mitigating Security Material Management related activities. Establish protocols for continuous monitoring of weighbridge and Gate Security operations.  Deploy risk control measures tailored to business-specific needs, ensuring minimal disruption to weigh bridge & material management operations.

      Incident Management

Design, implement, and test group-wide fire emergency response and incident management plans to ensure preparedness for critical situations. Lead cross-functional crisis management teams during fire emergencies, ensuring a coordinated response and safeguarding lives and assets. Oversee post-incident investigations, ensuring comprehensive root cause analysis and implementation of corrective measures.

      Management and Review

Monitor zone operations and ensure adherence to Material Management related SOPs and SOGs. Analyse the MIS reports generated and publish reports on a weekly basis to PSH – Khavda with copy to VSH.

       Material Management Operations

Oversee end-to-end operation management of Gate Control, Material Management & Weighbridges.  Ensure the escalation of all incident and report as per the Matrix.

      Investigation & Due Diligence

Conduct investigation of material management related incidents and set in motion remedial measures. Prepare and share investigation reports with VSH & BU team on investigations of all incidents. Prepare & Share Best Practices & LFI on time of relevant incident. 

      Compliance Management

Maintain compliance with material management SOP & other laid down procedures by Store Team. Conduct periodic audits of Material Management systems, weigh bridges & Gate operations to identify gaps, ensure compliance, and recommend improvements tailored to sectoral needs. Represent the group in regulatory forums, advocating for policies and standards that align with business requirements.

Educational Qualification:

Bachelor's/ master’s degree, Additional Degrees or Certification in operation management.

Must-have Experiences:

More than 15 years of experience in the field of fire and at least 5 years of experience in a leadership role in a similar position for large-sized organization and directly report to Head Fire & Security. Rich experience leading material management operations of weighbridges & Gate security operations.  Experience managing weigh bridges operations of large-scale organization incorporating higher movement of vehicle and cargo. Up to date knowledge and experience with material management related compliance issues across varied Security sub-domains. Robust understanding of material management related incident investigation techniques and audit procedures.
