Compensation

Compensation includes a base salary of $65,500.00 - $98,300.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Job Description

Join our dynamic team at Cox Enterprises as a Security Intelligence Analyst II! The Security Intelligence Analyst II is responsible for maintaining situational awareness of potential and developing risks that could impact the company's personnel and assets. This position requires knowledge, skills, and abilities related to intelligence collection and analysis, as well as familiarity with multiple forms of information technology and communications platforms. Significant judgment, self-confidence, and decision-making skills are essential for identifying and embracing accurate research, an effective escalation approach, and effective communication methods for the issue at hand. The successful candidate will possess a proven ability to think and perform under time-constrained conditions requiring independent judgment while interacting with all levels of management, customer-facing business units, vendors, private sector partners, and government agencies.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

Effectively identify and analyze relevant risks and vulnerabilities, and produce actionable products in a timely manner to inform enterprise-wide security operations

Research open-source intelligence, social media platforms, and deep/dark web for known and potential threats capable of impacting company personnel, facilities, and/or operations
 Monitor geopolitical events of concern that might impact international travel, corporate events, and/or operations, and provide periodic and timely reporting

Provide ad-hoc intelligence analysis support to Executive Protection personnel and other key stakeholders

Conduct and report comprehensive background and threat assessments, including the preparation of detailed investigative reports to support risk mitigation and operational decision-making

Correlate intelligence with summary outputs targeted to internal team members, business leaders, key stakeholders, and executive leadership

Prepare & assist with any requests/products requiring open-source analytic support

Conducts travel risk assessments for both domestic and international destinations, evaluating security, health, weather, and logistical factors to inform safe travel decisions

Monitors corporate events, in and out of company market locations, for potential
security risks, including protest activity, public safety concerns, and regional threats

Available to work rotating shifts, including weekends, on-call rotation, and extended hours to support events and operations across multiple time zones

Experience in monitoring multiple platforms across diverse business lines for potential impacts

Some functional knowledge of mass notification tools

Perform work independently or in group settings

Demonstrated ability to perform comprehensive research and analysis using multiple unclassified sources and synthesize data into relevant information for stakeholders

Excellent communication skills, including the ability to conduct briefings that present clear, concise, logic-based conclusions to support and inform the executive decision-making process

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and help implement new ideas to help drive the program forward

Desire and ability to potentially respond to emergencies

Outstanding written and oral communication skills

Demonstrated sound judgment in identifying issues for escalation

Strong research skills & capabilities, applying a wide range of sources, with the ability to identify and scrutinize appropriate sources

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science with 2 years of related experience (public or private sector security experience in intelligence collection, analysis, and dissemination). Alternatively, a master’s degree with up to 2 years of experience or 6 years of related field experience in (public or private sector security experience in intelligence collection, analysis, and dissemination).

At least 2-5 years of public or private sector security experience conducting or supporting intelligence collection, analysis, and dissemination functions

Applicants should possess or be able to obtain a private sector security clearance issued and maintained by DHS

Experience monitoring multiple platforms across diverse business lines for potential impacts.

Functional knowledge of mass notification tools.

Proven self-starter with the ability to work under limited supervision, using initiative and independent judgment.

Demonstrated ability to perform comprehensive research and analysis using multiple unclassified sources and synthesize data into relevant information for stakeholders.

Excellent communication skills, including the ability to conduct briefings and present clear, concise, logic-based conclusions to support and inform executive decision-making.

Strong knowledge of MS Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Excellent decision-making, interpersonal, written, verbal, presentation, and collaborative skills to work effectively with teams and external contacts.

Adaptability, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to effectively present information to senior management and enterprise security
