Position Responsibilities 

Patrols assigned areas, including buildings and surrounding grounds, to identify individuals or conditions that may pose a threat to the safety and security of the Medical Center.

Monitors and controls access by employees, visitors, and others, ensuring entry and exit procedures are followed to prevent theft or unauthorized access.

Detects and reports hazardous situations or unlawful activities, whether directly witnessed or discovered through documentation.

Issues warnings for rule violations and, when necessary, removes or detains individuals using appropriate levels of force.

Responds to alarms and dispatch calls, assessing each situation and determining appropriate action within the scope of their authority and available information.

Manages and interacts respectfully with individuals involved, securing the area and preserving any physical evidence as guided by protocols and supervisory direction.

Interviews relevant individuals and obtains statements from anyone with knowledge related to an investigation, ensuring all information is clearly and accurately documented.

Qualifications 

Possession of a valid Florida Driver’s license with a “good” driving history and no more than 4 points.

High school diploma required
