LSI Staffing is seeking qualified UNARMED SECURITY GUARDS for our Irving, Texas client! MUST BE ABLE TO WORK AROUND FIREARMS!!!
**TITLE OF IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR:** **Assistant Manager of Security**
**POSITION SUMMARY:**
This position is responsible for the overall security of people, data, and property on RSR premises. This position will monitor the entrance and departure of all persons.
**REGULAR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**
Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of the facility.
Notify a manager and document activities and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
Escort or provide an individual to escort visitors throughout the premises.
Operate detecting devices to screen individuals and prevent passage of prohibited articles.
Instruct employees of proper procedures if they do not follow proper security procedures. Request assistance from a manager when warranted.
Utilize relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events comply with company policy.
**QUALIFICATIONS:**
The Security Guard position requires a minimum of one year prior security experience. This position requires knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective security operations for the protection of people, data, and property. This individual must be able to effectively communicate in order to convey information. The ability to apply general rules and policies and to be able to detect irregularities and patterns
**PHYSICAL DEMANDS**
While performing the duties of Security Guard, the individual is regularly required walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision ability required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus and hear low pitch buzzers. The employee is also required to stand, climb or balance, stoop and kneel. The individual must be able to lift up to 20 pounds.
