Security Gatehouse Officers are responsible for the security and safety of the resort, guests, associates, visitors and vendors; and for providing exceptional service for our guests.  Officers have the opportunity to interact with our guests and associates by assisting them with questions, directions, incident reports, problems and in emergency situations.

Responsibilities Use proper radio etiquette at all times.

Handling access control at the gates by making sure only authorized individuals are allowed on property.

Maintaining accurate logs of entering and exiting vehicles.

Being observant and reporting any irregularities or concerns to the Security supervisors to investigate.

Responding to emergencies within the resort as needed.

Explaining and enforcing rules, regulations, and policies to ensure the safety of guests.

Monitoring designated areas to recognize signs of danger.

Warning guestsregarding unsafe situations.

Completing incident reports as needed and/or requested.

Supporting the front office operation.

    Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field preferred.Ability to physically deter individuals who pose a threat to employee and/or guestsMust possess a strong dedication to excellent customer serviceHave a strong work ethic, and ability to work around sensitive materialMust be able to stand and walk for long periodsMust be able to work in Florida's hot climate for upwards of 8 hour shiftWorking knowledge of computerMust have open availability, including evenings, weekends and holidays, as they are our busiest times.
