About the Role
This position will analyze risks and help operate the enterprise security program. The engineer shall serve as a contributor to security assessments including controls assessments, vulnerability assessments, compliance assessments, and related initiatives. This position functions as the liaison between the business users and the technical resources to be the primary person responsible to ensure all needs are met. This position conducts high-level security investigations, hunts, and incident response based on security alerts and threat intelligence. This position leverages developing technologies, such as artificial intelligence, to conduct or enhance all aspects of security operations.
Requirements
• 3+ years of IT security experience.
• BS Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience required.
• The ideal candidate will have a strong background in security operations and a keen interest in applying AI technologies to enhance security measures.
• Solid understanding of vulnerability assessment, threat analysis, incident response, and reporting.
• Management and monitoring of Security Information and Event Monitoring (SIEM) systems.
• Use of large language models.
• Moderate understanding for the security of cloud-based enterprises.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Problem-solving skills - investigative mindset.
• Understanding and promotion of security policies.
Responsibilities
• Monitoring: review security events for anomalous or nefarious activity to safeguard company information assets against current and foreseen threats.
• Threat surveillance and threat intelligence; identify emerging threats and potential solutions.
• Take appropriate actions to safeguard company information assets against current and foreseen threats.
• Perform assessments; identify security threats and vulnerabilities across the enterprise; implement controls; provide reporting and analysis to appropriate teams.
• Implement security programs: execute project deliverables as assigned.
• Assist compliance and promote security policies.
• Communicate to affected stakeholders including departments within the organization.
• Maintain program procedures including guidelines, standard operating procedures, and playbooks to be implemented on an ongoing basis.
• Remain current on industry standards for security.
• All other duties as assigned.
