Security Director

Compensation: $88,000 to $96,000 per year, plus bonus

The Role:

The Security Director is responsible for the overall security functions of the property, including casino, guest and employee safety and security.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for directing the overall operations and staff of the Security department.  Develops, implements, and manages operational goals and monitors achievements of performance and profit objectives. Ensures that scheduling is done in an effective and efficient manner, while maintaining labor costs, meeting staffing objectives, Gaming regulations and guest satisfaction. Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior guest service in accordance with department and company standards and programs. Ensures guest service standards are followed by all team members and addresses issues as they arise. Responsible for the overall achievement of department guest service goals. Responsible for preparing, monitoring, and adhering to budgets and ensuring compliance with departmental budget initiatives. Reports budget concerns / deviations to the Executive Leadership / GM. Develops, evaluates, enforces, reviews, and approves changes or revisions to operating practices, procedures and standards based on business practices and internal controls. Conducts, supervises and prepares reports relating to investigations of any losses or violations of law, regulations, policies, or procedures. Submits all appropriate reports when incidents, infractions, and violations occur. Serves as liaison with gaming regulators, public law enforcement, fire, and other agencies by maintaining a positive and constructive relationship. Protects and preserves the assets of the company and provides for the safety of team members, including keeping areas free of safety hazards, debris, and litter. Examines and analyzes the physical property, processes and procedures and develops, institutes, oversees, and enforces emergency policies. Ensures transfer of table games fills and credits, including providing escorts when needed. Responsible for ensuring compliance with all regulatory compliance within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to Executive Leadership / GM. Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters. Works collaboratively with team members, encouraging open communication. All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Military, Law Enforcement, or previous casino security experience preferred. Prior security, safety, or loss prevention experience preferred. Strong organizational, planning, and supervisory skills are required. Must have excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills. Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Illinois Gaming Board. Must be 21 years of age or older. Should possess excellent guest service skills/conflict resolution skills. Be able to perform independently under limited supervision. Ability to understand and follow verbal directives and written directions. Previous computer knowledge is preferred.
