IBM is seeking a Security Architect specializing in AI and Automation to support the design, implementation, and enhancement of secure, scalable cloud solutions and automation frameworks. This role is ideal for a candidate with foundational experience in SecDevOps, cloud technologies, and automation development who is eager to learn, grow, and contribute to IBM’s mission of achieving compliance by design. The role offers the opportunity to work on innovative projects, develop technical expertise, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful results. **Your role and responsibilities** * Exposure to and understanding of security requirements for an enterprise product, particularly in the context of mainframe software development. * Maintain leading edge awareness of government and industry security and privacy regulations. This includes but is not limited to SOC2, HIPAA, DORA, FedRAMP, CMMC, NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, NIST 800-37, GDPR, NYDFS, and IRAP. * Manage aspects of Security Compliance programs, including creating and updating security design documents, runbooks, and managing related program initiatives. * Lead the design and implementation of secure cloud solutions across AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud, and GCP. * Collaborate with SecDevOps teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards like FedRAMP and NIST. * Ensure all automation and architectural solutions adhere to compliance frameworks such as FedRAMP, SOC2, and NIST standards. * Effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. **Required technical and professional expertise** * 8+ years of hands-on experience in cloud architecture, automation development, or SecDevOps roles. * Strong experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS, IBM Cloud, or Azure. * Knowledge of automation tools and programming languages, including Python, JSON, and Slack APIs. * You are a strong, capable program manager who has successfully planned, led, and completed complex projects with multiple stakeholders and dependencies. * You have a track record of successfully collaborating with technical and business teams to achieve deadline-driven milestones while demonstrating the ability to think critically and creatively, with analytical and problem-solving skills. * Strong technical skills and equally comfortable interacting with senior business leaders * Experience in requirements development, program management, and/or process improvement efforts in a technical company, preferably a SaaS provider. * CISSP, CISM, or CISA required. **Preferred technical and professional experience** * Bachelor’s degree in information security/information technology, Computer/Electronic Engineering, Communications Engineering, or related field. * Familiarity with agile methodologies, including CI/CD pipelines and continuous delivery. * Exceptional ability to present ideas, strategies, and technical concepts effectively to senior leadership and non-technical audiences. * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, fostering collaboration across diverse teams and geographies. * Excellent communication and technical documentation skills, including the ability to discuss complex topics with both technical and executive stakeholders. * Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Fundamentals, or similar are a plus. * Experience working with high-availability, high-performance, multi-data center systems, or multi-cloud environments.
