SUMMARY:
The Security Chief plays a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and security of our operations. This position involves managing and supervising a team of 8 full-time and part-time security officers responsible for 24/7 security operations. Key responsibilities include:
Develop and Implement Security Policies: Create and coordinate company security policies and procedures.Training: Ensure all initial and annual training for security personnel is conducted and recorded.Scheduling: Establish and maintain a 24-hour security manning schedule.Coordination: Work with other department managers to coordinate security actions and procedures.Internal Investigations: Assist in conducting internal investigations.Liaison: Coordinate with local and state law enforcement agencies and emergency services as required.Day-to-Day Duties: Perform day-to-day security duties in the absence of adequate security force manning.Administrative Functions: Manage and supervise all security administrative functions.Additional Duties: Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
High school diploma or GED required.Experience:
5 years security or law enforcement experience preferred.Previous supervisory experience preferred but not required.Computer Skills:
Must be computer literate.Prefer experience with word processing software such as Microsoft Word and spreadsheet applications such as Excel.Communication Skills:
Effective verbal and written communication skills required.Thorough knowledge of business English, spelling, and grammar.Travel:
None.Position Specific Requirements:
Must have excellent attendance (6 points or less for internal applicants).Must have a clean disciplinary record.Ability to work both independently and under supervision.Must have a positive work ethic and attitude.Relocation Assistance Eligible:
