Zoom's Insider Risk Mitigation Program is seeking a Security Automation Engineer to work on automation and integration projects that directly support security and operational processes. You will gain hands-on experience with cloud-native infrastructure, automation pipelines, and API integrations. You will have opportunities to work internal investigations and help protect Zoom through multiple security platforms.

Responsibilities:
Develop, maintain, and improve automation workflows that support security and operational processes.
Work with cloud-native/serverless infrastructure to design and deploy scalable solutions.
Integrate systems and tools through REST APIs and related technologies.
Write, review, and troubleshoot Python-based automation code (with some exposure to JavaScript).
Manage secrets, credentials, and configurations securely within cloud environments.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for automation and efficiency.
Document processes, workflows, and technical details to ensure knowledge transfer and continuity.
Assist the Insider Risk Mitigation Program as needed across investigations and critical monitoring spaces.
What we’re looking for:
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of professional experience in IT, security, or related technical fields.
Ability to apply critical thinking to fast moving problems and create progress in their solutions.
Hands-on experience with Python (ability to read and write code, not just scripts).
Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, ideally AWS (Lambda, SNS, API Gateway, EventBridge, Secrets Manager).
Experience working with REST APIs and integration tools (e.g., Postman).
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently without rigid engineering structures.
Growth mindset with the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
Knowledge of SIEM platforms and query languages.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with JavaScript in addition to Python.
Apply query languages, including CrowdStrike Query Language (CQL), for security event analysis and monitoring.
Prior exposure to server-less/cloud-native engineering practices.
Understanding of security tools and general IT systems.
Experience with GitOps and CI/CD implementation.
Experience in IaC (Terraform).
Experience with automation in a security or operations context.
Salary Range or On Target Earnings:
Minimum:
$98,900.00Maximum:
$228,700.00In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary, bonus and equity value.
Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.
We also have a location based compensation structure; there may be a different range for candidates in this and other locations
