We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Security Analyst to support our Active Threat and Vulnerability Defense (ATVD) program. This role is ideal for someone with a strong interest in cybersecurity, an understanding of vulnerabilities and common threats, and a desire to grow in a fast-paced security environment. In this role, you will assist in identifying, assessing, communicating and helping remediate vulnerabilities across P&G systems, collaborating with Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI), patching teams, application owners, development teams and security leaders across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in running vulnerability scans across endpoints, servers, networks, and cloud assets using tools like Tenable, Qualys, or Nexpose.
Review, analyze, and prioritize vulnerability data, and help generate reports with actionable recommendations.
Track remediation efforts, follow up on mitigation progress, and support timely patch management cycles.
Monitor threat intelligence feeds for new vulnerabilities and assess potential impact on organizational systems.
Collaborate with security and infrastructure teams to validate findings and provide context to risks.
Assist with communication to IT and business stakeholders regarding vulnerability posture.
Maintain and improve internal tools and processes for tracking threats, exposures, and mitigation activities.
Stay up to date on global threat trends, security advisories, and zero-day activity that may affect our environment.
Continuously learn and improve knowledge on vulnerabilities, exploits, and security frameworks (e.g., CVSS, MITRE ATT&CK).
Job Qualifications
3rd, 4th, 5th year students or graduates - with a real passion for Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
Basic knowledge of operating systems, cloud concepts and network protocols.
Familiarity with common security concepts such as MITRE ATT&CK, CVEs, CVSS scoring, patching, and attack vectors.
Understanding of vulnerability scanning tools or prior exposure to platforms such as Qualys, Nessus, or OpenVAS.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an attention to detail.
Good written and verbal communication skills, especially when translating technical issues to non-technical audiences.
Eagerness to learn and a proactive attitude toward cybersecurity best practices.
