Job DescriptionOur canine group, under Allied Universal® Enhanced Protection Services, is hiring a Security Manager. The Security Manager is responsible for overseeing security operations for a high profile customer. The Security Manager is responsible for managing a 24/7 armed and unarmed guard force, ensuring the safety and security of the premises, staff, and patrons. This role is accountable for aligning personnel performance with client expectations, regulatory standards, and the company’s best practices.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervise and manage the security team, including armed/unarmed guards and supervisors, ensuring 24/7 coverage at the facilityServe as the primary liaison with property management and maintain strong relationships with local and federal law enforcement and emergency response agenciesOversee recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of contract personnel, collaborating with Human Resources to ensure compliance; design and implement career development and performance improvement plansMonitor and enforce adherence to post orders, Security Operating Procedures, licensing, and credentialing requirements for all security personnelConduct regular assessments of security operations, including incident reviews, staffing evaluations, and performance auditsMaintain exemplary performance standards across all team membersRespond to incidents and emergencies, providing leadership, coordination, and support as neededMaintain readiness to carry a firearm, pending client needs and licensing requirementsPrepare and submit detailed security reports, incident logs, and operational performance metricsRecommend and implement policies and procedures to improve security effectiveness, efficiency, and client satisfactionPlan and coordinate staffing logistics and training programs to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual requirementsCoordinate site support services to ensure operational goals are met and quality customer service is deliveredQUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):
Bachelor’s degree in security management, business management, law enforcement, criminal justice, or related field of studyPossession of, or ability to obtain, security license and/or other licensing and credentialing as requiredMust be eligible to carry a firearm in Washington, DC (current or ability to obtain applicable licensing)Minimum of five (5) years of security management or supervisory experience, preferably in a high-profile or transportation settingExperience liaising with public agencies and working within a high-traffic, public environmentStrong proficiency in Microsoft OfficeExcellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills; ability to interact successfully with all levels of employees and clientsExcellent time management skills; ability to balance multiple competing tasks in a time compressed environment while generating quality resultsStrong knowledge of security procedures, emergency response protocols, and personnel managementProven ability to lead, train, and manage large teams across various shiftsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):
