Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Enforcement of property rules and regulationsClear communication of verbal directions and written reportsObserving and reporting incidents and hazardsResponding to emergenciesMonitoring camera systems, fire alarm systems, and security systemsPerforming routine equipment checksConducting opening and closing proceduresAiding and allowing access to authorized personnelDetecting unauthorized personnelAssisting with escorts of personnel, contractors, and vendorsOutstanding customer service skillsAdapting to the needs of the building to provide a safe atmosphereGreeting all guests entering the building and patrolling corridorsWork with local authorities and city entities to aid, direct, and provide information during an emergency.Perform other duties as assigned.Required Education and Experience
High School Diploma or equivalentAt least 1 year of experience in security, military, safety, or customer serviceExperience with in-house or contracted security companies or guest servicesCombination of prior military or law enforcement, OPATA, Federal Emergency Management or National Incident Management training/experienceAED/CPR/First Aid Certification (or ability to obtain)Excellent verbal and written communication skillsSuperior customer service, communication, and interpersonal abilitiesAnalytical and problem-solving capabilitiesExcellent organizational skillsExpected Hours of Work & Travel
Days and work hours are generally Monday through Friday but may require evening and/or weekend shifts. Travel may be required with personal vehicle and reimbursed as necessary.Shifts may change depending on the needs of the business. This may include nights, weekends or holidays based on business needs.Work Conditions & Physical Demand
Able to work independently or as a team member and support managers with special projects. Strong collaboration skills – works well across functional areas—excellent relationship-building skills; able to collaborate with various levels of the organization.
