Securities & Derivat Analyst 2

The Securities & Derivatives Analyst 2 is an intermediate level position responsible for processing orders and transactions originating from trading desks and branch offices in coordination with the Operations - Transaction Services team. The overall objective of this role is to facilitate the clearance, settlement and investigation of client securities and derivatives transactions.

Responsibilities:

Have a passion to learn the subject and be a good team playerExcellent collaboration, verbal, and written communications skills Work with the local product team and respond to queries and correspondences sent by themManage all types of Custody account opening, trade settlements, reporting and announcements/ settlements of corporate eventsPrompt and professional engagement with custody client base which consists of 100% foreign institutional clients and ensure meeting Citi client delivery standardsPrepare and deliver regulatory reportingCoordination with CDS / SEC and other market players on account openings / transfersLiaising with regional product development / service teams on product enhancement, Billing, Accounts and security code maintenanceLiaising with both internal and external auditors on the audit related activitiesEnsure compliance with Internal, External and Regulatory guidelinesProject management skills for liaison with multiple stakeholders to take systemic enhancements to closureAppropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.


Qualifications:

2 to 3 years of relevant experienceFundamental understanding of Custody and Treasury products, accounting and regulatory policiesProven ability to perform various concurrent activities/projects in a high-risk environmentAbility to work in a fast-paced environment

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience in Business, Accounting, or FinanceQualification set out by the Central Bank banking direction -Association Cambiste International- ACI operational certification or Certification on Treasury and FX Operation by CBSL would be an added advantage.
