Secured Lending Underwriter

Wells Fargo is seeking a Secured Lending Underwriter within our Commercial Banking team.

In this role, you will:

Participate in the partnership with the Underwriting team on all aspects of new business transaction process

Perform financial analysis, calculate financial covenants, and prepare financing memorandum within Secured Lending Underwriting

Review basic issues, policies, or procedures where answers can quickly be obtained related to low to medium risk and deliverables

Receive direction from Secured Lending Underwriting supervisor and exercise independent judgement while developing understanding of function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements

Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals

Required Qualifications:

2+ years of Secured Lending Underwriting experience, or equivalent experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

Inventory Finance experience

Commercial Banking Underwriting experience

2+ years of secured lending experience

B.A. degree or equivalent, in Accounting, Business, Finance or Economics

Experience in Finance or Asset-Based lending

Accounting and finance knowledge

Proficient in MS Office: PowerPoint, Excel, and Word

Job Expectations:

Minneapolis – Minnesota Pay Range: $96,000-$154,000 annually (this range may not be applicable to other locations) 

Atlanta - Georgia Pay Range: $64,480-$114,400 USD annually (this range may not be applicable to other locations) 

Chicago - Illinois Pay Range: $96,000-$154,000 annually (this range may not be applicable to other locations)

Hoffman Estates - Illinois Pay Range: $96,000-$154,000 annually (this range may not be applicable to other locations)

Charlotte – North Carolina Pay Range: $64,480-$114,400 USD annually (this range may not be applicable to other locations)

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

Salary is just one component of Wells Fargo's total rewards package. Depending on the role, a Wells Fargo's employee may be eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as sales incentives, discretionary bonuses, and/or equity in the company in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
