**Role Definition**
Oversees and coordinates the activities of a more complex production line, prepares schedules, resolves issues, and ensures adherence to safety and quality standards.
**What You Will Do**
+ Supervise and direct daily activities of production lines workers, assign tasks, provide coordination between different teams, ensure workers’ safety and monitor their performance to meet all production goals.
+ Prepare, maintain, and update documentation related to operating procedures, safety and quality standards; ensure all processes and products meet desired safety and quality standards.
+ Maintain reports and records of production processes and document performance issues; develop and maintain metrics communicating production status to production line workers; provide suggestions to improve safety, productivity and quality.
+ Onboard new hires, manage scheduling and work conflicts, monitor safety, and promote internal communication to create a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
**What You Will Have**
_Manufacturing Safety:_ Knowledge of manufacturing safety.
Level Extensive Experience:
+ Consults on the use of new tools and techniques for safety protection.
+ Performs safety inspections to assure compliance with OSHA requirements.
+ Designs and implements emergency response processes and procedures.
+ Promotes workplace safety among supervisors and workers; communicates safety rules and regulations.
+ Assesses and reports unusual or new safety hazards or violations; initiates corrective action.
+ Ensure that all employees and contractors comply withrelevant safety policies and regulations.
_Planning and Organizing:_ Knowledge of the process of planning and arranging tasks and resources.
Level Working Knowledge:
+ Raises awareness of potential bottlenecks and disruptions to the schedule.
+ Breaks tasks into manageable steps that can be incorporated into a personal work plan.
+ Escalates concerns over competing or conflicting priorities.
+ Monitors progress continuously and adjust tactics for handling situations on a case-by-case basis.
+ Creates action plans that ensure the accomplishment of responsibilities.
_Talent Management:_ Knowledge of human resources and talent management processes.
Level Extensive Experience:
+ Explores motivational factors and tailors' motivational efforts to individual needs and situations for the department.
+ Resolves conflicts in a wide variety of situations, such as workload allocation, schedule overlap etc.
+ Adjusts management and personal style to fit the needs of different people and different situations.
+ Conducts evaluations of employee performance at the workplace and recommends improvement plans.
+ Plans resources for the department and discusses processes in talent management.
_Manufacturing Operations:_ Knowledge of manufacturing operations.
Level Extensive Experience:
+ Monitors organizational adherence to policies and procedures.
+ Facilitates communications across departments to ensure a smooth workflow in the plant or facility.
+ Evaluates the risks and safety hazards present in manufacturing operations.
+ Supervises daily operations to ensure production targets and forecasts are achieved.
+ Employs tools and techniques for anticipating demand and assuring capacity.
**What** **W** **ill** **P** **ut** **Y** **ou** **A** **head (Preferred Skills):**
+ Bachelor’s degree or higher.
+ Rigging and crane operation certification or operator training experience.
+ Electrical wiring and installation inspection experience or certifications.
**Additional Information **
+ Location: Griffin, Georgia.
+ This position may require up to 10% domestic travel.
+ Relocation assistance is NOT offered for this position.

+ This position requires the candidate to work a 5-day-a-week schedule in the office. Business needs may require weekend scheduling.

**Summary Pay Range:**
$87,480.00 - $131,280.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
