Secretary Transcriptionist Pathology
**Employment Type:** Part time **Shift:** Day Shift **Description:** **Position Purpose:** The Pathology Secretary/Transcriptionist position provides medical interpretation and dictation for pathology reports. The transcriptionist greets visitors and associates, professionally answers calls and directs questions when necessary, and is responsible for sending out tissue blocks and slides to reference labs and other requested locations. **What you will Do:** + Effectively communicate with other hospital personnel, patients, vendors, and service personnel. + Ability to work with gross and microscopic histologic tissue specimens. + Ability to work on multiple projects at one time and flexibility to meet department needs. **Hours/Schedule:** Day shift Monday - Friday 20 hours per week No weekends, no holidays **Position Qualifications:** + Medical Administrative Assistant degree/diploma required. + Biological science and/or histology background is preferred. + Demonstrates knowledge in basic computer systems and office equipment. + Self-motivated, detail-oriented individual able to work with minimal supervision. + Flexibility to work a variable shift. + Excellent typing/word processing skills **Position Highlights and Benefits:** + Effective Day 1 Benefit Package (Medical, Dental, Vision, and more) for positions 16 hours per week or greater + Competitive wages; including weekend and night differentials + Generous paid time off program + Retirement Savings program with employer match starting on Day 1 **Our Commitment** Rooted in our Mission and Core Values, we honor the dignity of every person and recognize the unique perspectives, experiences, and talents each colleague brings.
