Job Overview:
This position requires a combination of clerical, administrative and customer service skills. You will register, check patients in and out of our electronic medical record system. You will answer phone calls, and make appointments for patients, and coordinate the retrieval of offsite medical records.

Places patient/client needs ahead of selfDemonstrates compliance with findings from QI program findingsParticipates in in-services and training activities as indicatedProvides input into improving the operations of the departmentEnsures that department stock items are available to staff: stationary items, Printer/fax cartridges, other stock item ordering as requested and approved by Director of RehabilitationKeeps front desk work area/waiting room clean and neatAssists in keeping treatment areas clean as neededUses proper body mechanics in the movement of equipmentObtain and files charts for therapists as necessaryFollows the direction of the Director and therapy staff in a professional mannerGets all demographic information from the patient and inputs it into the scheduling software Schedules all PT, OT, ST, and Cardiopulmonary outpatients in the scheduling softwareGives each patient a hard copy of their scheduled appointmentsWorks with therapy staff to maximize productivity and efficiency in the scheduling of patientsPrints out reports from scheduling software as requestedMeets deadlinesProofreads all typed workFills out purchase orders/stationary supply requests correctlyExhibits proficiency in use of Microsoft Word, Excel programsPrepares minutes of meetings when requestedPrepares chart files for new patients by: applying name label, applying paper fasteners to chart, placing the completed patient history and MD script into the chart, placing initial examination, 1 progress sheet and the patient history into the chartReplace photocopier, computer printer, fax cartridges as neededOrganizes incoming faxes and files them as indicatedFollows all department policies and procedures to maximize cost efficiencies to include: recycling paper/file folders, restrict personal phone calls as per department policy, appropriate utilization of supplies, keeping department stock at a reasonable level, limit photocopying to department volume needsOther Duties:
