Job Overview: The Radiation oncology secretary coordinates activities at the front desk/reception area and interacts effectively with the Radiation Oncologists and all team members, Qualifications: Required: + High school graduate or equivalent + Computer experience Preferred: + Previous experience in a medical office Scheduling Requirements: Per Diem Day 8am - 4:30pm M-F as needed Essential Functions: + Registers patients, reviews patient insurance plans, maintains accurate records in regarding referral, authorization for radiation therapy, office visits etc, + Answers phones professionally, records messages and forwards calls to appropriate party, reschedule and schedules appointments timely + Files patient information in a timely fashion + Excellent communication skills, time management and problem solving skills Choosing RWJBarnabas Health!
