Job Description Insight Global is seeking a Senior SATCOM Engineer to support the development and integration of current and future satellite communications (SATCOM) systems within a complex DoD network. Working in a collaborative lab environment, youll contribute to areas such as modulation, link budgets, antennas, waveforms, and baseband networking. The ideal candidate brings experience with Army tactical networks and SATCOM modems, along with a strong understanding of Electronic Warfare (EW) threats and systems engineering practices. This role emphasizes policy and compliance, requiring the maintenance of technical documentation and alignment with evolving standards. Youll lead other SATCOM engineers, provide technical direction, support architecture design and evaluations, and guide systems through policy-driven lifecycle milestones. Compensation: $45hr to $65hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Skills and Requirements -Active Secret Clearence Required -Bachelor's Degree and 10+ years of experience in SATCOM engineering -Experience maintaining SATCOM documentation and guiding systems through policy-driven processes and compliance standards. -Extensive knowledge of SATCOM technologies: modulation, coding, RF equipment, antennas, and waveforms. -Proven experience in systems engineering and SATCOM system design for both military and commercial systems. -Familiarity with Military Standards (MIL-STDs) and certification processes. -Experience with tactical SATCOM modems: Protected SATCOM Modems, iDirect, Viasat, Linkway, and Network Centric Waveform (NCW) and their functionality. -Ability to lead integrated project teams and effectively coordinate between program offices, vendors, and other stakeholders. -Knowledge of Electronic Warfare (EW) Threats against SATCOM systems under management. -Strong analytical skills for system performance evaluation and issue resolution. -Familiar with the commercial SATCOM industry: multi-orbit (LEO/MEO/GEO) null We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
