Second Shift Supervisor
**Job Description** Under direct management direction, coordinates production associates to meet production schedules in compliance with the Quality System, EHS and company policies while ensuring that equipment and material resources are used effectively and efficiently. To provide support to the operations manager by coordinating various activities to meet the production schedule, including the continuous supply of components and supplies, equipment set-up verifications and meeting training requirements of personnel, while ensuring that quality specifications are met, and procedures are followed. **Specific Responsibilities:** + Responsible to schedule production line based on supply demand requirements. + Manages the effective and efficient utilization of equipment and material resources to optimize performance. + Assists the manufacturing manager to ensure production schedules are met. + Verifies compliance of machinery and equipment prior to production runs. + Immediately reports quality issues, increases in defect rates, and equipment malfunction to the manufacturing and maintenance manager, contributing to their resolution. + Responsibilities include some functions within the Business Unit, including scrap reports, training records, production metrics and manufacturing documents. + Maintains Kanban and other storage areas in the manufacturing floor organized. + Ensures compliance to the quality policy and productivity goals. + Supports and promotes the safety and industrial hygiene objectives of the plant. + Verifies the training of each associate according to requirements and ensures standard work is followed. + Talent management such us compensation planning, performance evaluation and talent growth framework. + Responsible for time and attendance records in ADP, approve timecards for payroll, track vacation, sick leave, and any other employee leave approved by Sedgwick and using correct pay code. + Controls and plans employee overtime. + Executes constant manufacturing audits to ensure production is under control, lasers running as scheduled, materials being used according to the production orders. + Participates in continuous improvement actions. + Supports and executes rewards and recognition programs. + Comply with the Quality Procedures, Laws and regulations that apply and with our company regulations whether local, state and federal as well as procedures, and environmental health and safety policies + Management of resources including machines, products, and materials. + Responsible for maintaining production outputs and production line goals. + Responsible for delivering quality products on a timely and efficient basis. + Responsible for special projects; Kaizen, CIP’s, and Six Sigma. Responsible for addressing line non-conformances, Root Cause. + investigation and Corrective Action implementation skills preferred and maintain line efficiencies on Target. + Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level. + Responsible for following all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices as applicable. + Responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable. + Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures. + Evaluates the internal performance for all aspects of production and fulfillment operations and drives continuous improvement. + Provides effective leadership to first line leadership regarding performance management, skills development, attendance, communication and recognition. + Other responsibilities may be assigned and not all responsibilities listed may be assigned. + Performs other duties assigned as needed. **Key Competencies:** + Ability to lead, coach, and monitor a team of 30-35 operators. + Ability to work with all levels of business customers in a highly dynamic environment. + Excellent organizational skills. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills. + Results driven with strong analytical and critical thinking skills. + Ability to work independently with minimum supervision. + Willingness and ability to work flexible working hours. **Qualifications:** + Bachelor’s degree required or High School Diploma with a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience. + Minimum five years’ experience in manufacturing, distribution, or operations environments. + Experience using Microsoft Office products, Excel knowledge required. + Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is required; two years’ experience with SAP is a plus. + Must be fluent in both English and Spanish (written and verbal) Current Employees apply HERE (https://wd5.myworkday.com/msd/d/task/1422$6687.htmld) Current Contingent Workers apply HERE (https://wd5.myworkday.com/msd/d/task/1422$4020.htmld) **US and Puerto Rico Residents Only:** Our company is committed to inclusion, ensuring that candidates can engage in a hiring process that exhibits their true capabilities.
