Your Role:
As a Senior Analyst, SEC Reporting, you will be a key member of Aptiv’s Corporate Accounting and Reporting team, reporting to the External Reporting Manager. This highly visible role is responsible for supporting the preparation and filing of quarterly and annual reports with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), including Forms 10-Q and 10-K. You will assist in technical accounting research, iXBRL tagging, and disclosure analysis, and collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external auditors.
In addition to SEC filings, you will support other external reporting requirements, including reports related to the Aptiv Foundation, Conflict Minerals, benefit plans, and the maintenance of Aptiv’s global accounting policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation and review of SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K), ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and internal policiesResearch and analyze new accounting standards (ASUs) and SEC rule changes; summarize impacts and disclosure requirementsSupport the iXBRL tagging process for financial statement filingsCollaborate with internal stakeholders across finance, legal, and HR teams to gather and validate financial data for external reportsLiaise with external auditors on audit requests and support related documentationContribute to reporting for non-SEC entities including foundations, benefit plans, and regulatory compliance reportsAssist with maintaining and updating Aptiv’s accounting policy documentsCandidate Profile:
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) requiredBachelor’s degree in Accounting required; Master’s in Accounting (or equivalent) strongly preferredMinimum 4 years of experience, including public accounting experience at a Big 4 firmPrior experience in SEC reporting or technical accounting preferredSelf-starter with strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to develop independent viewpoints and solutionsHighly organized and capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlinesStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse teamsProficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint requiredEnglish fluency required; additional European or Asian language skills are a plusWhy Join Us:
