Job Description
The Process and Tooling Engineer – Seats will be responsible for the detailed design, manufacturing, and installation of the production process, ensuring its optimal implementation and operation. They will work closely with equipment manufacturers to develop the automation design, ensuring the integration of all quality requirements. They will also work with Industrial Engineering to optimize operator efficiency and coordinate with the Logistics team to efficiently manage the flow of materials, both incoming and outgoing.
• Design, manufacture, and install the complete seat production process.
• Coordinate with equipment manufacturers on automation design and system layout.
• Incorporate quality requirements into the production process.
• Work with Industrial Engineering to maximize operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with Logistics to optimize material flow.
• Collaborate on the logistics of incoming materials and outgoing manufactured seats.
• Ensure compliance with manufacturing and safety standards.
• Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in automotive seat manufacturing.
• Experience with a Tier 1 automotive seat supplier is desirable.
• Knowledge of automation and tooling.
• Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience in quality management and process optimization.
