Chiricahua National Monument Area Information: Chiricahua National Monument is located 37 miles from Willcox, Arizona, a town of approximately 3700 people. Elevation at headquarters is 5400 feet with temperatures ranging from zero to 40 degrees (F) in the winter to 60 to 100 degrees (F) in the summer. Headquarters is located at 5200 feet in elevation; the area receives on average 20 inches of precipitation annually and temperatures can range from the teens to 100 degrees (F).Fort Bowie National Historic Site is located 14 miles south of the town of Bowie in southeastern Arizona.
